Forever Changing is a must-have anthology that captures the “Golden Age” of one of the most iconic and revered labels in the history of modern music. Founded in 1950 by 19-year-old college student Jac Holzman, Elektra Records became a model of creative, independent record-making, a rare beacon of quality music and original artistry.

Between 1963 and 1973, the company released groundbreaking, culture-shifting music that would reflect and define a new generation. Having signed such folk icons as Judy Collins, Phil Ochs, Tom Paxton, and Tim Buckley, the label moved into electric blues with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Elektra then made a spectacular transition into the rock era with such seminal bands as The Doors, Love, MC5, and the Stooges, while maintaining its eclecticism with artists ranging from the psychedelic folk of the Incredible String Band to the pop/rock of Bread. Before departing the label, in the early ‘70s Holzman’s signings included such major artists as Carly Simon, Harry Chapin, and Queen.

This meticulously curated 5-CD, 117-track collection embraces career-defining songs as well as lesser-known treasures from the vaults, accompanied by a sumptuous 96-page book. It is a captivating journey through a brilliant and timeless musical legacy.
